Yes, just went with my 80 year old dad two weeks ago. Hit a few farm ponds in southern Iowa. A friend had it set up to where we could use his utv to get close to the ponds without walking much. Turned out to be a great day had by all. Caught a pile of crappie and blue gills. I caught a 14 inch crappie. Largest one I've ever caught in my life.
If you ever struggle holding onto the rod or just want a better grip for bigger catches then maybe try using an Active Hands general purpose gripping aid in conjunction with the rod. Not sure if you've seen them before but here's the link: www.activehands.com/product/general-purpose-gripping-aid/
I go fishing all the time plus camping and boating. I'm lucky to live in an area where I can fish in farm ponds, rivers, reservoirs, and even Lake Erie. We a boat that's been modified to meet my needs. There's a few charter boats that will take wheelchair anglers out on Lake Erie and on headboat that's taken an entire group out for Yellow Perch and Walleye. I have a couple of electric spinning reels but I can use a regular spinning reel as well. My largest fish was caught from Lake Michigan, a 15 lb. Rainbow Trout about 10 years ago near Muskegon, Michigan. I've even fished in the Gulf of Mexico several times out of Fort Myers.
