It looks like it could be pretty great. If you're someone that wants to play games, but don't because you "can't", then this may be worth looking into. Plus, since it's only $100, it doesn't have the typical huge cripple markup.
looks nice, I purchased a different type of one handed controller that hasn't helped me at all and it costed $140, couldn't get it to work with my pc games or program it correctly to work on my pc.

Does it plug in by USB, and do you use the DS tool for Windows?

yes and no, I don't think, not sure what "ds tool" is?

How would you use the trigger and aim functions? They are typically located at the top of an XBox controller (I think LD/LT and RD/RT).
Another good controller is the XBox One Elite Controller. Many buttons are interchangeable with longer/bigger buttons. There are also silicone grips and other modifications you can attach to the cumbersome overcrowded buttons.
My boyfriend came over and kicked our butts using the Elite controller. He just sat it in his lap and did great. It also has a non-slip backing so it doesn't slide like the regular plastic controllers. We were very happy to figure out how he could play since I am an avid gamer.
