This video that I'm posting isn't about doing sit ups, but rather about "sitting up". I think it's generous of 'just plain people' (who are not necessarily professional therapists or paralympic atheletes) to post videos like this that help other paralyzed people see what can be accomplished. In this video, the lady is in a simple bed with no gadgets, no electronics. Yet, she has figured out ways to get herself into a sitting position, and also how to turn over. When a person wakes up in a hospital --paralyzed--friendly videos like this can show that a paraplegic doesn't necessarily have to be dependent on expensive equipment or an aide to the extent that a hospital or nursing home might make one believe.
P.S. Albacoian's video is no longer active. Does anyone remember what it showed?
Alicia Reagon is tops!!! So lovely, straightforward... you know she has 6 kids, right??? her very own church choir.
When I am doing BP in the morningI help move things along by sitting on the front of the commode then doing very abbreviated sit-ups back against the toilet tank. I cannot do a very much deeper sit-up anyway, plus it is a marvelous aid to bowel movements.
I step in the water, but the water has moved on...
