It is customized and sized for each individual user. It is available after meeting requirements from a medical examination and successful completion of the required training program. The company also offers a comprehensive maintenance and warranty program for the system once you take it home.
Considering how much a stealth fighter jet costs God knows what can be created with such finance for paralyzed war soldiers.
My personal comments. The wheelchair has been the only solution for over 200 hundred years and yes we need a more updated device. I don't believe that there will be any biological breakthrough neither in efficacy nor a cure for SCI in my lifetime. Current scenario in cell technology is that stem cells as of 15/8/13 have not been proven to do anything whatsoever in treating the SCI condition so yes robotic technology is something more realistic for me to eye in mobility improvement. Rewalk has two versions of the device one for rehab and one for personal use they are currently working on a model for quads. Rewalk can be tried out at rehab centres in the UK, europe and America The devise enables a wheelchair user to a crutch user which for some is a big leap in life quality. The current price is sky high but sources say it may go down, new models will cost more and older ones less. Argo tech has embarked on an aggressive marketing campaign, yes the device looks good in videos but i would like to see how one does sanitary needs in that suit if to be worn all day. I would also like to see how a person could drive or enter a car wearing that suit too. none of the above are shown in argo tech ltd videos. i would also very much like to try it out myself for further comment too. The Rewalk device is FDA approved which is an excellent certification for the device I do think the model can be further improved to be less bulky, less noisy and also worn under clothing. I also believe that by reducing the current price Argo will sell more and make more profits too. It is the money they want after all You will never know Mr Golfer might even end up getting a nobel prize for his invention too.
Here is more i really like the upright posture of paralyzed people although i do not know what level of injury the people in video have. The walk gait is also very good and close to that a normal person. Yes by all means i am impressed. Still i would love to try it out myself for further comment.

Yes i would like to try it out personally and they are willing to let me for an hour for free, however i must travel to Italy or Austria to do so by appointment, Again i have recieved mail and private telephone form Austria agent that the price is €52,000. way way too high, but this has gone down form the original 60,000 he had said on the phone two months ago. I would not like to watch marketing videos on their sites, in my opinion they are too emotional oriented and show only what they want to show. i have asked about toileting, and how one can exit and enter a car. you cannot do so with suit on as confirmed by agent meaning i cannot go to work with the suit. I would also like advice as to maintenance and servicing issues, i have had a bad experience with my home lift. I think i will consider the device should it go below 10,000. As now it is not worth it but yes i would like to try it out. sigh i told them they will sell more and get more profit too if they are willing to decrease the price . I think we will see a suit that can be worn under clothing, much more slick and user friendly. The technology, cabon fibre and other materials are there in other words it can be done. but again price issues..... I cannot say the same for cell therapy, they can inject water as far as i am concerned you will get the same results. argo are currently working on a suit for quads, looks interesting but i fear the price will not be so.
PS my personal opinion about price issues Once the backload of chronic SCI clients has been exhausted i think they will have a slump in sales, hence the price will go down, In addendum new updated versions will also decrease the price of current technology too.
Interesting to see approximately 3 months later DJ started a thread about the exoskeleton being used by a paralyzed teenager so he can do the ceremonial first kick to start off the World Cup this year.
At the world cup the man kicking the ball was only shown for less than 5 seconds with a container stuck to his back and all he did was move a mechanical leg to hit the ball. Just received mail form rewalk promoters which i would like to share, i had complained about the unaffordable price. Yes it is FDA approved thumbs up and some insurances might consider taking it board which fares well for Argo ltd It is nice to see people crying for joy in videos, not impressed as i have seen alot of that with stem cell promotion. i would really like to see toileting and how one can enter exit a vechile issues i pointed out addressed too. These queries of mine have not be answered. My theory is that should the price be affordable to the common man sales with rocket and Argo will get more than what they have invested and been raking in so far. At the end of the day it all boils down to money and profits, fair enough but as of now it is better for me to buy an apartment and rent it out for a life time stable income than purchase a rewalk price for price. I have faith the price will go down as other competing companies are investing too. After all it is something tangable and real which is much more than i can say for the stem cell rip offs.
Here is a copy of my correspondence.
For us getting FDA approval is a huge accomplishment that took well over 10 years to get. No money has been made, actually millions has been spent in developing this technology. While price may be high for some.. at this time, this is the first step in making it available to everyone in the future. Thanks.
