Quadriplegics... How do you manage to shave? I can hold on to the razor pretty well and don't need to use a cuff or any other assistive devices. The shaving gel is pretty easy to use as well because I use the gel that comes in the spray can instead of the one you have to squeeze out the tube. The whole process takes me around 10 minutes and that is without any assistance!
I hate shaving, always have and always will. My only problem with shaving now is that I can't get close to the sink, so I'm about a foot away and I get covered in shaving cream and I get wet, so that's my excuse for not shaving regularly, I'm always in trouble for having stubble, I'm told I look like a old man, and my answer is, I am.
I shave my pits, legs, and lady junk... I skip my legs in the winter a lot because I've shaved off a few chunks of skin by going too fast... thank god I couldn't feel it! I've nicked my lady parts a few times and I'm really glad I can't feel that either! I'm really careful when I shave anywhere now, especially places I can't feel...
I keep my pubic area clean shaven so it's easier to cath. Actually, I've shaved that since I was 15, four years prior. It's just a cleanliness and comfortability thing for me. And now, I couldn't imagine getting that hair pinched in my jeans... it's bad enough I got a pressure sore on my labia one day because I wasn't wearing underwear with my jeans... oh, the things I've done...::)
